Charges Dropped After Vet Jailed For Possessing “Unregistered” Guns … But Where Are the Guns Now?

A veteran was pulled over by police, handcuffed and thrown in jail after guns unregistered where he was driving in Washington, D.C. were found in his vehicle and then confiscated by the officers. The guns were, however, registered in the vet’s home state. Soon after, prosecutors dropped the charges against him, but the cops kept the fire arms.

Judge Andrew Napolitano discussed this issue with Brian Kilmeade. He said that the cops are allowed to keep these fire arms in this case because of an unusual “quirk” in the law.

Napolitano said these guns were lawfully registered, owned and transported by this vet, but because he came to a complete stop in Washington, D.C., he had an obligation under the law to comply with the gun laws in the place he stopped. (More…)

Are Attack Ads and Fundraisers Helping Campaigns Get Votes?

Monday, James Rosen reported on Special Report that an Obama campaign ad, which calls Romney a “job destroyer,” focuses on the bankruptcy of a century old steel plant in Missouri which left 750 workers jobless. Obama-Biden campaign deputy manager, Stephanie Cutter said, “This is not about private equity or how Romney ran his company. Romney aides pointed out that GS Technologies went bankrupt in 2001, two years after Romney had left Bain Capital. The Romney campaign put up their own ad touting Steel Dynamics, Inc. which is a company that Bain helped launch in 1994 and currently employs over 6,000 people.
