At the end of America’s Newsroom, Bill Hemmer reported a story that is the definition of irony.
A new high school in LA has been named in honor of the environmentally-conscious former Vice President Al Gore. But now, activists are saying the school was built on a site contaminated with more than a dozen leftover storage tanks belonging to gas stations and other factories.
Next week, 650 students are set to start classes. Bill reported that school officials say all toxic soil has been removed and will be monitored.
