This Just In: Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago Will Not Seek Re-election

Fox News has confirmed that Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley will not seek another term.

The mayor made the announcement today during a press conference to announce a new cabinet member. He did not take questions after making the statement.

Daley has served as mayor for 21 years — a total of six terms. He was elected Mayor on April 24, 1989 on his 47th birthday.
