BRET BAIER AND MEGYN KELLY TO ANCHOR FOX NEWS CHANNEL’S 2010 MIDTERM ELECTION NIGHT COVERAGE
FOX News Channel (FNC) will present continuous live coverage of the 2010 midterm elections led by co-anchors Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly on Tuesday, November 2nd, beginning at 6:00 PM/ET, announced Michael Clemente, Senior Vice President of News, FOX News. Additionally, FNC’s team of seasoned political correspondents, anchors and analysts will provide developments on the race and election results throughout the evening.
The coverage will kick off with a one-hour Special Report with Bret Baier at 6:00 PM ET followed by The FOX Report with Shepard Smith at 7:00 PM ET. Baier and Kelly will then lead the network’s coverage, America’s Election HQ from New York beginning at 8:00 PM ET, joined by senior political analyst Brit Hume and a panel of FNC contributors, including: Juan Williams, Democratic consultant Joe Trippi and former senior White House advisor to President George W. Bush, Karl Rove. FOX News anchors Martha MacCallum and Bill Hemmer will also cover exit polls and track historical live data on the giant Touch Screen, respectively, as chief political correspondent Carl Cameron provides minute-by-minute reporting on election results.
Additionally, Baier and Kelly will moderate a rotating panel of FNC contributors that include former vice presidential candidate and Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro, former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, former Arkansas Governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, Democratic strategist Bob Beckel, Democratic pollster Pat Caddell, Democratic strategist Kirsten Powers, Washington Examiner senior political analyst Michael Barone, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and political analyst and columnist Charles Krauthammer. Commentators Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Greta Van Susteren will also weigh in with their perspectives and analysis during their respective primetime hours.
Other FNC reporters appearing throughout the evening include White House correspondent Wendell Goler and congressional correspondent James Rosen, along with Eric Shawn reporting on voter irregularities in New York and Mike Tobin reporting on the Tea Party influence from Kentucky.
