Trace Gallagher reported that we’re awaiting the sentencing of a former white transit officer who shot an unarmed black man in California.  Johannes Mehserle was convicted of involuntary manslaughter after he accidentally grabbed his handgun, instead of his stun gun, and killed Oscar Grant.  The entire incident was captured on video.  Claudia Cowan has the full story.
