VIDEO: Trace Adkins Performs 'Just Fishin' From His Latest Album, Talks About Spending Time With His Kids

Country crooner Trace Adkins sure knows how to pull on our heart strings, and today's performance of his single 'Just Fishin' was no exception. The song comes off his latest album, 'Proud to Be Here,' just released.

Adkins says that he's a softy when it comes to

his kids and that 'Just Fishin' is really a song about them and the importance of quality alone time. "My favorite childhood memories weren't the gifts I got at Christmas or anything like that," Adkins says. "It really was the time I spent with my parents and my grandparents."

Watch him perform the hit for fans outside of the Fox News headquarters in New York:
