A report is out saying that mass layoffs at Bank of America may slash up to 10,000 jobs. How would Herman Cain jump-start the economy in such a time of need? He tells Neil.
“The president went on a tour, came back, says he wants another month in order to put together another speech. The American people are sick of speeches, and because things have gotten as bad as they have and as quickly, I have developed with my team an even bolder plan than I have talked about before,” Cain says.
Cain breaks down his plan for expanding the tax base and getting companies back to hiring, saying, “I’m offering it to the president, I’m offering it to the members of the Congress, I’m offering it to the Super Committee because I’m gonna be honest with you – I am not optimistic they are gonna come up with anything other than some of the same old rhetoric, the same old approach; who do we tax and how do we pick winners and losers? The American people are looking for results.”
Cain also discussed his business experience compared with Mitt Romney’s, telling Neil his own corporate knowledge is much broader and more extensive.
