Mitt Romney: Obamacare Is About Taking Over 100% of the People's Insurance
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli questioned Mitt Romney about about his health care plan during his time as governor of Massachusetts. "In a general election debate, President Obama will say that his health care law is based on your Massachusetts model -- What would be your response to the president in that debate?"
Romney said that he would ask President Obama why he didn't consult
him to ask what could be done differently. Romney pointed out that the bill he proposed for his state is different than the final health bill. "We were trying to take care of the 8% of people without insurance in Massachusetts," Romney said. "Obamacare is about taking over 100% of the people's insurance." Romney ended by pointing out that the real objective is getting down the cost of health care at the federal level.
