Joran van der Sloot Declines to Enter Plea in Murder of Peruvian Woman; Trial Postponed Until January 11
LIMA, Peru -- Joran van der Sloot declined to enter a plea Friday in the killing of a Peruvian woman, asking for more time, and the case was adjourned until January 11.
Van der Sloot, 24, was in court facing charges of first degree murder and robbery in
connection with the death of Stephany Flores, 21, who died in his Lima hotel room in May 2010.
He also is the chief suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, an Alabama teenager who vanished while on vacation on the Caribbean island of Aruba in 2005.
