Iran is vowing to retaliate, perhaps against the United States or Israel, after a top nuclear scientist was killed in a car bomb blast. Presidential candidate Ron Paul appeared on America Live to give his take on what the U.S. government should do concerning Iran’s threats.
The U.S. and Israel have both denied having anything to do with the attack. This is the third Iranian nuclear scientist to be killed in the past two years. The GOP candidate said, “This is an act of terrorism and we should empathize with them … Obviously the Iranian government wouldn’t be killing their own scientists.”
Paul called Iran a very weak nation and the idea that they’re looking for a fight is “a concoction of the West.” On possible U.S. involvement in this situation, he said, “If we haven’t done it, we should prove to them or give them all the reassurance that we have not done it … and if we are doing it, we ought to quit.”
