New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Explains Comments He Made Telling Warren Buffett to “Write a Check and Shut Up”

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie stopped by the curvy couch this morning addressing all things politics, including his comments to Warren Buffett that he should “write a check and shut up.”

Gov. Christie is fed up with hearing about the so-called Buffett Rule, telling the Fox and Friends co-hosts, “The Democrats just trot Warren Buffett out every time they want to make a point about raising taxes on the American people.”

Gov. Christie responded to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s comments calling the governor’s “quips” a distraction. He said, “It is the issue. The issue is that you’re using this guy, you’re using his secretary who’s one of the best paid secretaries in America apparently. You’re using these people to try to make a point about redistribution of wealth.”
