Local Radio Host Describes Latest Out of Chardon, Ohio
James French, a local Cleveland radio host, broke news of the shooting in Chardon, Ohio when someone called into his show to say that the shooting had taken place.
French called into America’s Newsroom with details saying that he’s been monitoring the police and fire scanners, and according to their transmissions there are four trauma victims, three in critical condition and one in stable condition. The person in stable condition has been transported via ambulance to the hospital. The other students were transported via helicopter from a Walmart parking lot. French reported that eyewitnesses described attempts to stabilize the students before they got on the helicopters.
He said that according to what he’s heard, it appears that the shooter was a student. French said that they’ve also been receiving calls that there may have been an accomplice, and from what he’s heard on the scanners, there are two people in custody.
