DEBATE: Will the State of America’s Economy Be the Focus of the 2012 Election for Voters?
As President Obama moves ahead with his re-election strategy, he used his first news conference of the year to lay out his campaign strategy.
Alan Colmes and Tucker Carlson held a debate on America’s Newsroom.
Carlson weighed in, saying that he believes the economy is the problem and thinks if Obama plans on running on the economy in October, then “it’s over, the president loses.” He went on to say that the economic recovery isn’t real because
it’s driven by the Federal Reserve that has pumped trillions of fake money into our economy with its being printed. Colmes fought back claiming Carlson’s argument isn’t accurate, saying, “Things could tank, but on the projector we’re on, the trends seem to be in favor of an improving economy.”
When it comes the Republicans' stance at the polls, Carlson thinks the issue the GOP has to focus on in the upcoming months is asking Americans if they are happy with the last four years in the White House, and if they keep the focus there, “they win.”
