Cop Hailed as Hero Speaks Out on Receiving Honor for Saving Man From a Burning Car
The two officers that rescued a man from a burning car and saved his life were honored with the city of Keizer, Oregon’s highest medal of valor for their bravery on Wednesday. One of the officers, Sgt. Andrew Copeland, spoke about this heroic act on today’s America’s Newsroom.
Sgt. Copeland told Bill Hemmer, “You arrive on a scene like this and the first thing you want to do is make sure everyone is safe. You know, sometimes you just don’t
think about the live wires and the fire that’s right next to the car; you just go into rescue mode, and that’s what we did.”
