Marco Rubio Throws His Support Behind Ohio’s Josh Mandel In Effort to Get More Republicans Elected to the Senate
Senator Marco Rubio is putting his political heft behind getting more Republicans elected to the Senate. Today, he stumped for Josh Mandel in Ohio, and the two joined Your World to talk about the importance of the race.
Rubio detailed why he’s supporting Mandel, saying, “He’s accomplished, I mean this is someone with a wealth of life experience even before getting to this stage in his career. He’s younger than I am but he’s served two tours, I think, overseas on behalf of our country and our military.”
While he acknowledges that Ohio plays an important role in general elections, Rubio said, “Moving forward, it’s important that we change who is in charge in the United States Senate. We need a majority, in my opinion, a majority of Republicans, so we can start to tackle some of these issues like saving Medicare and Social Security, like making sure that we, the United States, the most energy-rich country in the world, is fully utilizing all of our energy resources.”
