Fmr. Sen. Arlen Specter Reflects on Explosive Health Care Town Hall Two Years Later
Two years ago, Megyn Kelly was hosting America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer when they cut to one of the most explosive town hall meetings ever caught on tape. It was August 2009, and a very angry man at Sen. Arlen Specter’s town hall was shouting at the senator over his support of the president’s new health care law.
When all was said and done, the angry man had been escorted out of the event by security, the first of many chaotic town hall events was about to go viral on the Internet, and the nation’s debate over the new health care law had unofficially kicked into high gear.
So now two years later, what does the former senator think about the now infamous confrontation, and what impact does he think it had on his career politics.
Fmr. Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter joined Megyn Kelly earlier today to discuss that and more.
