One Winning Mega Millions Lottery Ticket Sold at 7-Eleven in Maryland
Peter Doocy reported live from the 7-Eleven that sold one of the winning Mega Millions tickets. Out of the 1,532 people who bought lotto tickets at the store in Milford Mill, Maryland, one quick pick ticket was all it took to win the big prize.
According to employees, after waiting in a line that wrapped around the store, the winning ticket was sold at 7:15 p.m. ET yesterday. The winner has not been identified, but the 7-Eleven is in line to make $100,000
once the ticket is cashed in.
The director of the Maryland Lottery, Stephen Martino explained that the lottery revenue, which is about 30 percent of total sales, goes to the state general fund to support everything from public education, social services and protecting the environment.
