Atheist Man Who Threatened Suit Over Nativity Scene Now a Christian
Patrick Greene was an outspoken atheist activist who made headlines when he threatened to sue Henderson County, Texas, unless they took down a public manger scene. Now, he's back in the headlines -- but this time, because of a change of heart.
The only reason Greene backed out of the suit, he says, was because he came down with a rare eye disease that
threatened to leave him blind; he was even forced to quit his job. Thankfully, he says, a local group raised money for him and his wife to buy groceries. The group was a Christian organization. The twist? It was the same group he had previously threatened to sue. Fast forward to present day and Greene says he's now a Christian ... and (wait for it) is even entering the ministry!
The former-atheist says he now believes evolution can't answer some of the questions he'd previously had, but that God can. He also told reporters that he's amazed that the people who should have been angry at him are the ones who came to his aid when he needed them.
