Tune In This Weekend to 'Summer of Evil: The Manson Murders'
Mass murderer Charles Manson was denied parole for the 12th time this week, effectively ending any chance at freedom after being barred from parole eligibility for another 15 years, when he will be 92-years-old. Manson, who is incarcerated at the California State Prison in Corcoran, was the mastermind behind the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders that terrorized Los Angeles in the summer of 1969. Manson’s last taste of freedom was more than 40 years ago, when he and some of his murderous minions where arrested at a rundown hideout called Barker Ranch in a rough, remote area of California’s Death Valley. Fox News took these exclusive last photos and footage of the ranch in April of 2009 before it burned to the ground in a mysterious fire less than a month later. This weekend get an update on Charles Manson in a Fox News Special hosted by Greta Van Susteren called "Summer of Evil: The Manson Murders" -- Saturday, 10p ET.
In this clip from “Summer of Evil:
The Manson Murders,” California Highway Patrol Officer James Pursell recounts arresting Manson and his gang, and the rather unusual alias used by the group’s ghoulish guru.
