Military Members Involved in Alleged Secret Service Prostitution Scandal
There are new developments today in the scandal that’s rocking the Secret Service. According to new reports, Secret Service agents brought as many as 21 to the hotel they were staying at in Colombia ahead of President Obama’s visit. Some of those women were said to be prostitutes.
Additionally, Catherine Herridge reports that military officials have confirmed to Fox News that a number of U.S. service members were implicated in the scandal. Seven airmen and two dog handlers from the Marines are now allegedly involved. The Marines were with a bomb disposal unit that was activated in Colombia. Herridge reports that Fox News was told that U.S. officials went door-to-door in the hotel to see who had these alleged prostitutes in their room.
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta reacted, saying, “Whether our forces are in Colombia or any other country or here in this country, we expect them to abide by the highest standard of behavior. That’s a requirement.”
