Shocking Story: Audio Recordings Reveal Teacher Mocking, Swearing At Autistic Student

An audio tape of remarks recorded in a classroom is getting national attention for the nature of the comments it contains ... not to mention the child at which those comments were directed.

It all started when dad Stuart Chaifetz couldn't figure out why he was getting reports from his son's school in Cherry Hill, New Jersey that the 10-year-old was violent; Chaifetz says he knew his son to be gentle and kind. Also, all of the kids in his son, Akian's, class have some form of autism and a difficulty communicating. So, he took matters into his own hands and put a hidden audio recorder on his son. What he heard on the recorder when his son came home was appalling.

Father Who Recorded Alleged Verbal Abuse Against His Son With Autism Says Teacher Was Never Fired

Some of the remarks involved teachers talking about being hungover during school, and discussing their sex lives and marriages. Chaifetz says this was notable because he believes if it had been a "normal" classroom with students who could understand and ascertain the nature of the comments, they never would have been said in the first place.

Furthermore, Akian's autism can cause him to mumble to himself, and in the audio tapes you can hear at least one of the teachers mocking the boy: even be heard calling him a derogatory term because he cried when experiencing anxiety over which of his divorced parents he'd be spending the upcoming weekend with.

Chaifetz made an emotional video in response to the tapes and posted it on YouTube. "You called my son a b****rd; you made him cry," he said. "You made him cry; you heard him crying innocently, and he's a b*****d for that? What kind of sick, twisted person does that to a 10-year-old boy?"

The entire video is 17 minutes long and has gotten over 200,000 views on YouTube so far. Chaifetz says he wants a public apology from the teacher ... as well as her resignation.

Hear the jarring tapes and see part of the dad's response. Then, let us know - what punishment do you think the teacher heard in the tapes should receive? Should she resign or be fired?
