Earthquake Shakes Los Angeles, California
An earthquake rattled Southern California Saturday, shaking buildings in downtown Los Angeles.
According to the US Geological Survey, a magnitude 4.1 quake struck around 8:07am local time, near Devore, in San Bernardino County.
The epicenter was 49 miles (78km) east of downtown Los Angeles.
A short time later, at least one milder aftershock struck the same region.
The quake was felt in Los Angeles and its eastern suburbs, and buildings were rattled around downtown. Several residents took to Twitter and said they were shaken out of bed.
Southern California is no stranger to earthquakes. It sits on the San Andreas fault line, an area prone to tremors.
