One World Trade Center Becomes Tallest Building in NYC
Today, the One World Trade Center reclaimed the New York City skyline by becoming the tallest building in the city reaching 1271 feet. Frank Siller, the brother of first responder Stephen Siller, spoke to Megyn Kelly during the construction. He called the day a celebration of the lives of those who died and of the sacrifice so many have made.
Siller remembered, “New York stood tall after 9/11 and with the help of Americans all over
… Greatest fire department in the world, paid a big price that day losing 343 firefighters in which Stephen was one of them.”
At completion, the dubbed Freedom Tower will stand a symbolic 1776 feet tall. Siller said, “Every one of the firefighters, every family member, wants to see it finished and to be a glowing beacon of the freedom that America represents ... It’s a good day. It’s emotional seeing it.”
