Obama Campaign Criticizes Romney’s “Moral Leadership” For Fundraising With Donald Trump

Tonight Mitt Romney is expected to clinch the Republican presidential nomination when the polls close in the Texas primary. Tonight the candidate is holding a fundraiser with Donald Trump in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Obama campaign slammed Romney for appearing with Trump because the business tycoon is still raising questions about President Obama’s birth certificate.

The president’s deputy campaign manager, Stephanie Cutter said, “Mitt Romney’s continued embrace of Donald Trump and refusal to refusal to condemn his disgraceful conspiracy theories

demonstrates his complete lack of moral leadership.”

Romney didn’t directly address the issue but told the press, “I don’t agree with all the people who support me and my guess is they don’t agree with everything I believe in.”
