Mubarak Hospitalized After Receiving Life Sentence; Protesters Gather in Tahrir Square
Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is in the hospital after being handed a life sentence. The 84-year-old reportedly suffered a health crisis after he was given life in prison for not stopping last year's deadly protests in Tahrir Square. Fox News correspondent Leland Vittert reported live from Tahrir Square as Egyptians expressed mixed emotions over the sentence. Many people were very upset that Mubarak did not receive the death penalty.
There was chaos in the courtroom over the conviction and outside hundreds
gathered holding pictures of their relatives who were killed during the revolution. Vittert reported that people are also protesting because Mubarak's sons and a number of people who were members of the security apparatus were acquitted today. He said the crowds continue to grow in Tahrir Square. Stay tuned to Fox News Channel for the latest on this story.
