Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family Arrive For the Jubilee Flotilla on the Thames
Martha MacCallum has been reporting live from London as Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family celebrate the queen’s 60 years on the throne. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee continued this morning as boats gather on the River Thames for the Jubilee flotilla. She became queen at age 25 and is the only other monarch besides Queen Victoria to reach this milestone.
In the most recent poll, eight out of 10 people say they would like to preserve the monarchy. Throughout the economic storm, the monarch remains an important part of English life as noted by the thousands of all ages who gathered today to cheer on the queen.
The queen will be accompanied
