AZ Mom Who Drove With Baby on Roof of Car Facing Aggravated DUI Charges

An Arizona mom is being electronically monitored after she drove away with her five-week-old baby on the roof of her car. The 19-year-old admitted to smoking marijuana before getting into her vehicle and driving off. During the incident, the infant was sent flying off the roof and onto the road. Luckily, a couple driving by saw what happened and stopped to rescue the baby.

Police say the mother didn't immediately realize what had happened, apparently arriving at her destination before becoming aware the infant wasn't with her. Authorities say the child is "perfectly okay" and is reportedly in the custody of child protective services.
