Donations to George Zimmerman’s Defense Fund Soar Following His Return to Jail
Donations to George Zimmerman’s defense fund have spiked since his bond was revoked and he was sent back to jail. According to the prosecution, at his original bond hearing, Zimmerman misled the court about having no money despite the fact that he’d solicited donations from people online. His attorney now says that Zimmerman lied out of fear and he’s trying to get a new hearing.
Peter Johnson, Jr. joined Fox and Friends to comment, specifically on the fact
that Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, has already said that his client’s credibility has been ‘undermined.” Johnson speculated about this odd turn on the part of Mark O’Mara, saying, “I think he’s trying to get ahead of the curve at this point. He’s trying to say, ‘Yes, it was a mistake.’”
Johnson also questioned what O’Mara might have known himself about the Zimmerman’s finances.
