DEBATE: Is Bill Clinton Helping or Hurting President Obama in 2012?
There are some new questions over President Obama’s relationship with former President Bill Clinton after the prominent Democrat praised Gov. Romney’s business career. Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer said he believes Clinton is working as a “double-agent.”
Bill Clinton also spoke out saying that extending the Bush tax cuts until 2013 would be the best thing to do for America, and that timing is at odds with what Obama has said.
Alan Colmes and Tucker Carlson weighed in on this debate during today’s America’s Newsroom.
Carlson asserted, “Well, [Bill Clinton] hates Barack Obama.”
He believes Clinton's behavior displays his dislike of the current president.
“Clinton’s spent the last 12 years hanging around people from the private equity world, from the hedge fund world,” Carlson said. “From the financial services business, generally, he’s made hundreds of millions from them, is he going to side with them or the guy who beat his wife? Of course he’s siding with them.”
Carlson’s convinced that Clinton won’t even vote for Barack Obama in the 2012 election.
Colmes chimed in saying that just because Clinton called Romney a “sterling" businessman doesn’t mean he thinks he’s qualified to be president.
