Who Is Behind the White House Leaks?

Washington lawmakers are furious because they are wondering how classified information is making its way out of the White House, but the real question here is who is really behind these leaks. The president said that he was “offended” at the insinuation that the leaks are coming from the White House, and has since handed the case over to the Department of Justice.

Peter Johnson, Jr. discussed the leaks on today’s Fox and Friends. He said that he agrees with President Obama in saying that it is "offensive" that people would blame the White House for leaking highly classified information, but said there is a great probability that it’s coming out from this administration because he doesn’t know where else it would come from.

If US attorneys or a special prosecutor is assigned to investigate these leaks, Johnson said the there will be no results before the 2012 presidential election.

“Someone could go to jail, someone should go to jail. This is absolutely wrong, absolutely outrageous and imperils our national security,” he said. “The president is offended, let’s see how much there is to this offense, or is it merely an election year stalling tactic?”
