Donald Rumsfeld Discusses New Memoir, “Known and Unknown”; Says Leaks Seem to Be Coming From White House to Favor Obama Administration
Earlier on Fox and Friends, former US Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld stopped by to discuss his new memoir “Known and Unknown,” released today in paperback. The book chronicles his entire career, and all of the proceeds are going to military charities in America.
Rumsfeld also discussed the possible White House leaks saying that they are very serious. He said, “Individuals, countries are going to be unwilling to cooperate with the United States and turn over the intelligence that we’ve been getting, and it will be a damaging thing for our country.”
In all the years he’s worked under presidential administrations, Rumsfeld told Fox and Friends that he’s never seen such extensive leaks. “The individuals that are doing this leaking clearly have access to highly confidential, highly classified information,” he said.
He continued, “It seems to be coming out of the White House and it seems to be all in a manner that is designed to favor the administration and to support them.”
