George H. W. Bush Celebrates His 88th Birthday in an Emotional Tribute; Today Marks 25 Years Since Pres. Reagan Gave His ‘Tear Down This Wall’ Speech
Today on The Five, the co-hosts acknowledged two great American presidents. In celebration of George H. W. Bush’s birthday today, his granddaughter Jenna Bush-Hager interviewed him on NBC’s The Today Show. In the emotional tribute, the former president choked up when reading a letter he wrote to his children. You can check out part of that interview below.
Also, today marks the 25th anniversary of former President Ronald Reagan’s famous speech at the Berlin Wall
where he famously said “General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate … Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall.”
