Supermodel Niki Taylor Teams Up With the American Red Cross and Nexcare to Support World Blood Donor Day
In 2001, supermodel Niki Taylor was in a terrible car accident and if not for the number of blood transfusions she received, she may not be alive. Today, Niki’s giving back by pairing up with the American Red Cross and Nexcare to show how important it is to donate blood.
Taylor sat down on the Fox and Friends curvy couch to discuss this partnership. With World Blood Donor Day coming up on Thursday, she stresses the importance of encouraging people to donate because she believes she wouldn’t be alive had she not received blood.
She continued, “You never know when you’re going to need it. I’m the perfect example.” She explained that 44,000 donations are needed for just one day of blood transfusions in America.
Nexcare’s bandages will be given out after people donate. Taylor said these bandages are “like a badge of honor. So, when you go and give blood you get this bandage, and you will say, ‘Hey, I saved more than one life today.’”
