George Zimmerman's Attorney Releases New Materials Related to the Case, Including Interrogation Video and Police Statement
George Zimmerman’s attorney has just released a treasure trove of documents related to the case, including video of Zimmerman being interrogated the night and morning after he shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
Also included in the documents, is a police statement written by Zimmerman the night of the shooting. At one point, he describes looking for a street sign so that he could tell police where he saw Martin, whom he refers to as “the suspect.” He writes, “As I headed back to my vehicle the suspect emerged from the darkness and said ‘you got a problem’ I said ‘no’. The suspect said ‘you do now’.”
Zimmerman then describes in detail how he cried for help while Martin beat him up, saying, “At this point I felt the suspect reach for my exposed firearm and say ‘you gonna die tonight mother f*****’.”
