Mitt Romney: My Mission Is to Replace Obama and Repeal Obamacare
Moments ago, Mitt Romney spoke out against the Supreme Court’s ruling on the health care law, saying, “What the court did not do on its last day in session, I will do on my first day if elected President of the United States. And that is I will act to repeal Obamacare.”
Romney stressed that while the court said that the law does not violate the Constitution, “what they did not do was say that Obamacare is good law or that it’s good policy.”
He detailed the impact it will have on the American people, including that it will raises taxes, cut Medicare, add trillions to the deficit, and cause Americans to lose both insurance and jobs.
Romney concluded, saying, “This is a time of choice for the American people. Our mission is clear. If we want to get rid of Obamacare, we’re going to have to replace President Obama. My mission is to make sure we do exactly that.”
