ALL-ACCESS SLIDESHOW: Rock Icon Pat Benatar Fires Away on the All-American Summer Concert Series
There was no shortage of fans outside the Fox News Channel headquarters this morning, where Pat Benatar and her band took to the stage to perform some of her biggest hits. Among those in the crowd loving what they were hearing from the rocker were Peter Johnson, Jr. and his lovely daughter, the Fox and Friends Weekend folks, weekdays' Steve, Gretchen and Brian, and our very own weather machine Janice Dean.
The Insider caught up with Dean after the show, and she gushed about how much fun she had this morning getting to meet and watch one of her icons perform.
"I’m a
huge fan of Pat Benatar, partly because I grew up listening to her music in the '80s – and also because she has such a great marriage with her lead guitarist/songwriter husband Neil Giraldo. They’ve been together over 30 years, and you can tell they are still in love," Dean said. "The other thing that sets her apart from a lot of other female singers is that she is classically trained! What an amazing voice. She sounds exactly the same as she did when she first started out. I was reliving my teenage years this morning! What a treat!"
We, too, were totally impressed with just how hard the 59-year-old singer still rocks. Watch her performance by clicking here, and check out these awesome photos below (pssst - in the "After the Show Show," Steve Doocy even sat in on piano with Benatar. Sort of. We snapped some pics!)
