Pastor Dad, Daughter Talk About His 'Dating Commandments' And Why He Wants a Firm Handshake, No Cell Phone, and No 'Emo Gushing'
If you want to date this pastor's daughter, you have to follow his version of the 'Ten Commandments' ... otherwise known as the '10 Commandments for Dating My Daughter.'
The pastor behind this hilarious video that took YouTube by storm, Doug Giles, joined Fox and Friends this morning with his youngest daughter, Regis. Regis said the rules may be new to everyone else, but not so for her!
"They've been public to me since birth, pretty much," she said. "Let's just say, knowing how strict my father's going to be, I'm 10 times stricter on the guys ... so, none of them have made it that far to the '10th commandment' level.
Pastor Giles told
Brian Kilmeade that his reason for devising the rules was simple - he knew firsthand the kinds of guys who would be trying to date his daughters.
"I used to be a drug dealer, I used to be a drug addict, and I had the morals of a drunk alley cat and I understood from the street level standpoint what was going to be approaching my daughter," he said.
But guys - there is hope! Giles has one other daughter, and she's been married for a year-and-a-half now. The pastor said this fella "passed the son-in-law test with flying colors." So, if he can, maybe you can too.
