Amy Senser, Wife of Former NFL Player, Sentenced to 41 Months in Prison After Fatal Hit and Run
Amy Senser, the wife of former Minnesota Vikings player Joe Senser, has been sentenced to 41 months in prison in a hit-and-run accident that killed a man last August. The 38-year-old victim was putting fuel in his car on the side of an exit ramp when he was struck by a car and killed.
Amy Senser kept going, claiming that she thought she hit a pothole or a police cone. She was eventually caught and convicted.
Prior to her sentencing, Senser claimed that she was so remorseful that she tattooed the name of the victim on her wrist. The judge said that while her remorse rang true, “this avoidance of responsibility was not out of panic or confusion. It was orchestrated.”
Now, Senser’s stepdaughter, an aspiring pop star, has come forward, saying on ‘Good Morning America’, “I believe she’s remorseful, yes, absolutely. But I kind of agree with the judge that it’s hard to believe that you didn’t know you hit something.”
So, does Senser’s punishment fit the crime? Joey Jackson and David Wohl weighed in on today’s Kelly’s Court.
