U.N. Security Council Vetoes Resolution to Put Pressure on Syria's President Assad
As just reported on Fox News Channel moments ago, a vote was put forward by the British and other western nations to end the violence in Syria; however Russia and China vetoed it. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice expressed anger saying, "we have made it clear that these [chemical] weapons must remain secure and that the regime will be held accountable for their use. Because as the situation deteriorates, the potential that this regime could consider using chemical weapons against its own people should be a concern for us all."
