Father of 6-Year-Old Victim Speaks of Tragic Loss
The father of a 6-year-old girl who was killed in last night’s shooting in Aurora, Colorado, recently spoke with KDVR, a Fox News affiliate in Denver. The man, whose ex-wife was also injured during the incident, described what happened.
“I heard that my wife had been shot in the chest and my daughter had been shot, and they didn’t know what was going on with my daughter,” said the man. When asked whether his child was one of the 12 victims known to be dead, he responded, “Yes, she is.”
According to the man, he is currently being denied access to his ex-wife, who was admitted to the Aurora Medical Center. “The police won’t let me see my wife because of a comment I had made,” he said.
“I need to make sure that she’s at least okay. I’ve lost the rest of my family.”
The man went on to express his anger at the gunman. He also hoped the authorities would bring about “some kind of basic justice.”
