Reports: Suspect Painted Hair Red Like ‘Joker’

Sources are reporting that James Holmes’s hair was painted red, much like the ‘Joker’ in ‘Batman,’ though the Aurora police chief would not confirm that. New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly was discussing security at showings of ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ when he said:

“We have some information, I believe most of it is public. It clearly looks like a deranged individual. He had his hair painted red. He said he was ‘Joker,’ obviously the “enemy” of ‘Batman.’”

Trace Gallagher reports that we’ve also confirmed with a second source that the shooter’s hair was painted red, as was his goatee.

3:08p ET Update: Trace Gallagher noted that the Joker’s hair was green, but the commissioner alluded to the suspect being like the joker.
