FBI Believes Missing Iowa Girls May Be Alive; Family of Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins Plead for Their Return

The FBI has told the family of missing Iowa girls, Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins, that they believe the girls may be alive. The mother of Lyric Cook-Morrissey, and the aunt and grandmother of the girls, spoke to Shannon Bream about the latest developments in their disappearance. Their grandmother, Wylma Cook, was the last known person to have seen the girls. She said that authorities told the family that they feel the girls are alive and they have suspects.

Tammy Brousseau, an aunt of Lyric and Elizabeth, said that last Monday night, search dogs positively identified the girls' scents in a wooded area east of where their bikes were found.

Lyric’s mother, Misty Morrissey said, “Everybody’s done their polygraphs, everybody’s given up

their phones, their vehicles – so there’s been full cooperation.” She added that no one in the family has been told what the evidence is or why they believe the girls are alive.

Brousseau pleaded, “Lyric, Elizabeth – if you can see us, if you can hear us, we love you. Whoever has them, we forgive you, please, just let our children come home. Please, we’re begging you at this point. They miss their mommy and daddy, please just let them come back home.”
