Video: Good Samaritans Save 82-Year-Old Woman After Her Car Plunges Into a River
An 82-year-old New Jersey woman hit the gas pedal instead of the brake in her vehicle while at a car wash, sending her car straight into a river. Two good Samaritans immediately jumped into the river to rescue her.
Elizabeth Moore says she was worried about retrieving her pocketbook, registration and cane from the car, but rescuers urged her to get out immediately. Moore was not seriously injured in the incident.
Apparently, the back window of the vehicle was half open, which saved Moore’s life because the rescuers were able to get into the car to help her out of it.
