What’s the GOP’s Game Plan for Job Growth?
What is the key to the GOP’s game plan when it comes to job growth? Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) joined Happening Now to answer that question and talk about the economic situation in the country right now. She mentioned that her husband is a small business owner and she worked with him to start that business, so she understands what owners are going through.
“Small businesses and large businesses also, need certainty. Right now, the president has said that he wants to raise taxes on the many small businesses in this country … This administration has issued so many job-killing regulations, and I hear it from small businesses all across our state. We need to really create a better climate, a partnership for the private sector, not what this administration has done.”
On the issue of sequestration, the term for mandatory cuts to federal programs, she said it’s important we stop it. “We can’t add a national security crisis to already our fiscal crisis with the debt.”
