Defense: Colorado Shooting Suspect Was Seeing a Psychiatrist

Details were disclosed Friday in the case of the suspected gunman behind the Colorado theater massacre. In a defense motion, it was disclosed that 24-year-old former grad student James Holmes was being treated by a psychiatrist at the university where he studied.

The motion in which the details were revealed

was seeking to discover the source of leaks to some media outlets of a notebook sent by Holmes to local therapists; the defense team says the notebook contained communications that should be shielded from public view.
