PETA Takes Bets on ... When Sen. Chuck Grassley Will Die?!
One senator's "pro-meat stance" got quite the response from the animal rights group PETA ... a response that included taking virtual bets on when that senator would die.
It all started when Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) challenged the USDA on their promotion of meatless Mondays for employees, saying he'd eat more meat himself in support of Iowa farmers to make up the difference if such a thing gained steam.
That's when the
activist group started making informal bets on their website, asking people to vote on "when he might succumb to a meat related ailment, like heart disease..."
