Cash for Class?!: D.C. Schools Paying Kids $5.25 an Hour to Attend Summer School
With only 53 percent of students in Washington, D.C. graduating, the District is doing everything it can to motivate students to perform better.
Gretchen Carlson reports that that includes paying them $5.25 an hour to go to summer school.
She said to keep in mind that the District is already paying $12,000 to $15,000 a year for each student to go to school, and only half are graduating.
What do you think? Is this giving kids a second chance or is this just wasted money? Tell us!
