Mike Huckabee: Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day Shows That Christians Can Take a Stand for Their Beliefs and Not Be Punished for It
Wednesday, people around the country flocked to Chick-fil-A restaurants for Appreciation Day, which was started by Governor Mike Huckabee. Huckabee told the Fox and Friends gang why he started this initiative, saying, “It was getting out of hand, the hate speech and the incredible language that was being hurled at Dan Cathy, the CEO, because in an interview with a Christian newspaper, he took a stand for traditional marriage, which is by the way the same stand Barack Obama had until just a few months ago.”
Huckabee described the goal of the day, saying, “Let’s show that people are still Americans and that even Christians can take a stand for what they believe in without being punished economically.”
