Pregnant Woman and Her Two Children Survive Lightning Strike
A pregnant woman and her two young children are recovering in the hospital after lightning struck all three in Delaware. The family was eating dinner outside under an umbrella when the bolt hit. A neighbor who saw the family outside said that it was raining but there wasn’t any thunder. He said he heard a loud bang that sounded like a gunshot.
The older boy was crying and covering his eyes, and the visibly
pregnant mom had an abrasion on her arm and complained of numbness on her side. Fire trucks showed up after the building alarms went off. This is the second pregnant woman to be struck by lightning in the past week.
