Weather Report: Tracking Tropical Storm Ernesto and Wildfires in Oklahoma
Meteorologist Maria Molina reported that Tropical Storm Ernesto is tracking westward and may intensify over the next couple of days. By Monday morning the storm could become a category one hurricane and is expected to reemerge over the Gulf of Mexico by the end of the next work week.
Firefighters are battling wildfires in Oklahoma as the flames destroy dozens of homes and buildings in the town of Luther. Deputies are looking into claims of someone in a pickup truck
throwing out newspapers that had been set on fire. The number of wildfires this year could be the worst in state history. Molina said that there is a red flag warning issued for Oklahoma because of the continued dry conditions and gusty winds.
